Tooting Bec Neighbourhood Update: Increase in Parcel Theft

Dear Residents of Tooting Bec,

I trust you are all well. The team would like to make you aware that we have seen an increase in reports of parcel theft across the ward, particularly as we approach the busy Christmas period. Your local officers are conducting regular foot and mobile patrols to help deter this activity, nevertheless we are asking everyone to take extra care when ordering parcels to your home address. 

Where possible, we advise arranging for parcel deliveries to be sent to local collection points, local stores or parcel lockers to reduce the risk of theft. Unfortunately, courier services in the present day willingly will leave parcels on doorsteps, and all it takes is a singular opportunist individual to take them. Taking these small yet important steps can help keep your items safe and prevent further incidents from happening in the neighbourhood.
